Moving from Within with Melissa Smith

Use strength to heal, empower and increase awareness within. Slow is the new strong with an embodied movement class that explores Hatha yoga, self-inquiry, and breath to access our subtle mind-body connections. Whether you’re looking to increase your flexility or regain control of it, we will learn how to utilize your nervous system and apply biomechanics for a holistic approach to a sustainable yoga practice. In this workshop we will dive into yoga asana, yogic principals from the Sutras and play with the latest movements based in biomechanics research for strengthening and increasing our body’s range of motion. We’ll end with a few calming restorative poses.
