Slow + Steady
Slow down your breath and your movement in this class while building strength and cultivating flexibility and resilience. Longer holds in the poses allow you to refine your alignment and find the rest in each asana.
Align + Refine
This practice is designed for yogis of all levels and experience. A comfortable space is created utilizing breath and movement that usually makes you sweat but will always leave you at ease. The yin and the yang are thoughtfully woven together meaning you are moderately active for a percentage of class as you transition from one pose to the next but, ultimately, find yourself ending in restful and calming poses. Students are encouraged to flow, play, take modifications, or challenge themselves without fear or judgment. All levels welcome and modifications are offered throughout the class to make this class accessible to all students.
Align + Explore
Practice the integration of body, mind, and spirit in this 90 minute intermediate/advanced practice. We will explore creative combinations of asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation.
Movement, Mantra + Meditation
The practice of mantra can have a profound impact on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. The class is perfect for anyone seeking a deeper experience of their own voice, the subtle body, chakras, deities, or the philosophy of Yoga.
Yin Yoga is a yoga practice based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang – the opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspect of things. Yang is the changing, moving, revealing aspect of things. When looking at the body, the stiff connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are considered to be yin, while the mobile and pliable muscles and the blood are considered yang.
In this class you will restore the body in a gentle practice where postures, mainly focused on the lower body, are passively held for several minutes. Yin Yoga is an opportunity to turn your focus inward and slowly open the body. Yin Yoga is an all-levels class. It is a gentle practice where flexibility is not required. It can be intense in that the postures are held for longer periods of time to generate both physical and emotional tension release. You will feel connected, open, stretched, energetically softened, more present, and relieved of deep tension.
Soothe your body and your soul in this relaxing class! The restorative practice helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which tells the body to rest and digest (as opposed to fight-or-flight) and is great for anyone with an active life. During this class, you will rest in bliss-producing restorative poses done on the floor with supportive props to help the body release. Recharge your energy reserves, heal the effects of stress, and bring your nervous system into a more balanced state through restorative yoga.
